Boars Head Recalls Deli Meat Over Listeria Concerns

Over 200,000 Pounds of Deli Meat Affected

Amid an outbreak of listeria, Boars Head is recalling over 200,000 pounds of its deli meat that may be contaminated with the bacteria. The recall was announced on July 26, 2024, after the listeria outbreak killed two people and sickened about 36 others in the United States. According to Boars Head, the affected products were produced on June 27, 2024. The recall includes several types of deli meat, including ham, turkey, and roast beef. The recalled products were distributed nationwide. Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled products are urged not to eat it. Listeria can cause serious illness, especially in pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of listeria infection can include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
