Highly Accomplished Coach to Lead Team Toward Paris Olympics Gold

Chicago, November 14, 2023

The United States Soccer Federation (USSF) has appointed Emma Hayes as the 10th full-time head coach of the United States Women's National Team (USWNT). The 47-year-old English coach, currently managing reigning Women's Super League champions Chelsea, will replace Vlatko Andonovski and lead the USWNT through the 2027 Women's World Cup cycle.

Hayes has a wealth of experience and success in women's soccer, having won multiple league titles and cups with Chelsea and Arsenal. She has also led Chelsea to the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League twice.

USSF President Cindy Parlow Cone said, "Emma Hayes is a world-class coach who shares our vision for the future of USWNT. Her success at the club level speaks for itself, and we are confident that she will bring that same winning mentality to our team. We believe that she is the right person to lead the USWNT to gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics and beyond."
